I’m passionate about clean energy and building systems design. I’ve been fortunate enough to work in roles that drive down carbon emissions through design and operational improvements of HVAC systems. I’ve previously worked as an Assistant Director of Energy Management at one of the largest Healthcare Systems in the country. I currently serve as a Senior Mechanical Engineer for Kairos Power, where I’m able to implement unique HVAC designs towards a first-of-a-kind nuclear reactor.

In my spare time, I enjoy pick-up soccer with friends and volunteering with the local Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) chapter, where we provide mentorship and technical support to pre-college and college students to continue their pursuit of STEM degrees. I’m a NYC transplant, and upon my move to Albuquerque, I quickly got in touch with Mindy, our current SHPE NM President, so that I could continue my 12+ year involvement with the organization and keep working towards providing valuable programs to our underrepresented community.

I’m the only son of an immigrant family, myself having been born in Guayaquil, a coastal city in Ecuador. Like a true “costeƱo,” my favorite dish is an Encebollado de Pescado. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from NYU and a Masters in Energy Systems Engineering from Lehigh University.
