Lilian Casias

Lilian graduated with a PhD in electrical engineering from UNM in 2019. As part of her dissertation efforts, she worked as a graduate research assistant at AFRL focusing on understanding vertical & lateral transport properties of III-V mid-wave Type-II Strained Layered Superlattices infrared sensor materials using magneto transport techniques. Then, Lilian joined Sandia a post-doc in the fall of 2019 working on optical characterization of IR detector materials.

In 2021, she converted from post-doc to 6751 staff where she is currently Principal Member of the Technical Staff and is involved in the event-based sensing efforts and exploring different remote sensing detection systems for high-speed transient event characterization using compressive sensing.
